We all woke up super early to make sure that we've packed everything and to clean up our cabins completely.

Brunch was excellent and we got to celebrate Luis's birthday today! After, we all went crazy singing one last time with our Nature's Classroom teachers. ILAC beads with given out, we went on our last field groups, took pictures and said our goodbyes.

Now we are coming home to Waltersville!

See you all there!

Last night after lunch we split up for our classes-- (shark dissections, water rockets and rollercoaster building). We spent some time bonding with one another and talking about how to be a friends. Then we went on a dark and cold night hike but we hardly noticed how scared we were because our Nature's Classroom teachers taught us lots of things about stars and showed us some cool tricks that we could do in the dark!

This morning after filling up on a hearty breakfast we are off to enjoy our last full day here in Nature's Classroom. It should be a good one because its Wacky Wednesday!!

Check you later but enjoy the pictures!

We survived Day 1!!

Some of us woke up thinking we were at home and were shocked to find our teachers waking us up! We are eating a lovely breakfast of sausage and pancakes. Last night we only had 3lbs of Ort, which is amazing!

We loaded up on our water and then headed out for our hikes! Some of us are going to Lookout Point and the rest are going to the farm to play with the animals. For our dinner we are eating warm and yummy pot roast with cheesy potatoes.

Later on tonight we are go out for a night hike and learning all about the stars and magic tricks that we can do in the dark.

Enjoy some pictures from last night!

The day is done and it was fun....

We finished off our day with rainy hikes, classes like dissection and mini-sculpture building and then a hearty dinner of pasta, meatballs and garlic bread.

Even though it was raining, the hikes taught us many things. Mr. Brine learned that donkey's milk is the closest to human's milk. When we finally came inside, we separated into our different classes to learn lots of new things. In one of the classes, we dissected squid!!

Now we're off to our Science Fair and then bed.

Even though we were all nervous to leave our homes, we were also SUPER excited to get going!
We were off to a late start because of the buses, but once we packed up and stacked up--- we were on our way!!

After about an hour and half of a ride, we got to Ivoryton, CT and immediately met our counselors! They are so nice. They all have interesting names like Fuego, Gloop and Pizza Steve! Then we got to put all of our stuff into our rooms and see who our roommates were. The cabin is so beautiful and the rooms are nice and roomy.

At about 12:30, we had our first lunch in the dining hall which was cheeseburgers, cheese puffs, unlimited salad bar and fruit. Then we collected the food that we didn't eat and weighed it for the Ort Report. Our goal is to decrease the amount of waste we leave behind for every meal we eat here at Nature's Classroom.

Right now we are hearing about our classes and then we are off with our field group leaders to go hiking into the woods. Later we will eat dinner and then attend a science fair. Everything is so exciting!

Catch you later!
