School Governance Council (SGC)


Note: The november 19th meeting has been postponed due to Hurricane Sandy and the change of report card conference dates. New meeting date TBA. 

All meetings will be on Mondays.

Meetings through March will be in the portable classroom next to Mrs. Bisch’s office. (The school is scheduled to move to the swing space building in April.  The meeting place there will be determined after the move.)

Meetings will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m., and they will end no later than 5:00 p.m.

Public Act 10-111 establishes School Governance Councils to enable parents, school staff, and community leaders to work together to improve student achievement in the state’s lowest performing schools. School Governance Councils serve in an advisory capacity and are they are charged with assisting the school administration in making programmatic and operational changes to improve the school’s achievement.
