Here are some pics from our trip to Sleeping Giant State park. The students hiked the trails for @2 hours. They had to choose a trail or trails and use the map to find their way to the castle, located on the giant's chest. Along the way the students were able to observe coniferous forests and broad leafed forests and notice the differences between the two. They also got a first hand look at how a watershed area works. Only one group got lost this year, but annually there is always one group that gets lost and have difficulty reading their map. Enjoy...
