A Message from our Principal

Dear Parent/Guardian

Welcome to school year 2012 - 2013!  As we stand on the verge of beginning a new school year, I thank you for allowing the faculty and staff of Warren Harding High School the opportunity to be an active participant in your child’s academic career and future.  I am eager to work with you to ensure academic growth and scholarship opportunities for your child.  With a combined home and school effort, our mutual goals of academic success and increased eligibility for opportunities will be realized.

Warren Harding High School faculty received new curriculum materials in the areas of Math, Science and English Language Arts.  In addition, professional development was provided to our faculty to support the implementation of the new curriculum.  This new curriculum will be delivered to all grade levels with rigor and consistency.  It is our commitment to deliver the best educational practices and experiences to your child.  Depending on the academy your child is assigned, unique experiences may be delivered depending on the theme of the academy.

Every child will be part of an academy at Warren Harding High School.  If your child is a new 9th grader, the New Scholars Academy will be your child’s home away from home.  If your child is an upper-class student in grades 10 through 12, the Law & International Baccalaureate Academy or the Health & Environmental Science Academy will be their home.

We feel strongly that it is only the combination of our attention to scholarship, your child’s perseverance and your unwavering support which will appropriately prepare him/her to graduate high school and ultimately continue on to college and career.  As the new principal of Warren Harding High School, I believe a continued focus on Safety, Instruction (Teaching and Learning) and Discipline will enable the opening of paths to success for all students.  This certainly cannot be achieved without you being a stakeholder in the process.  We anticipate and value your contribution.

Sincerely,

Victor Black

Principal
