Since Fall 2001, the Bridgeport Learning Center (BLC) has served as the Bridgeport Public Schools’ only with-in district Therapeutic Day Program for students with Emotional & Behavioral Disorders. BLC’s operations have recently expanded to a   full-service Behavioral Sciences Campus that includes the district’s first, comprehensive K-1 Early Intervention Pre-Referral Program, the district’s Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training Site, as well as the nation’s first Multicultural Center for Exceptional Youth & Families. Bridgeport Learning Center’s menu of mandated service initiatives also includes innovative Behavioral Research and data collection aimed at improving the academic and behavioral success of Bridgeport’s most vulnerable student population.
