Developed in 2009 in response to the increasing need to provide high-quality education to Bridgeport’s most vulnerable academically and behaviorally challenged students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) possible, BLC’s  Transitioning Students for Success (TSS) Transition Program incorporates a comprehensive system of screening,  planning, placement, monitoring, follow-up, and data collection for special education students. T.S.S.’s multimodal approach has resulted in the district’s highest-ever number of successful transitions of Special Education students from long-standing, restrictive placements back to their regular, home-school environments.
