11/18/2012

Monday, 11/19 and Tuesday, 11/20 will be one session days due to report card conferences. Conference schedules are as follows:

Monday - 5:00 - 7:30 PM
Tuesday - 1:00 - 3:30 PM

Special notes to families:

  • A recommended 15 hours of community support from our families is being introduced to the parents on Monday night. Each family is being asked to commit to 15 hours to assist teachers and the school community with tasks such as, bulletin boards, making copies, cutting out letters, grading papers, attending field trips, attending school performances, parent meetings, PAC meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and attending academic enhancement classes.

Roosevelt's school musical, The Wiz, is coming soon!

When: Friday, June 8th at 6:00 PM and Saturday, June 9th at 4:00 PM.

Where: Roosevelt School Gymnasium

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5.00, or at the door for $7.00. (Price for all students is $2.00 in advance or at the door.)

(1) Parent teacher conferences begin Wednesday, April 25th!

(2) Roosevelt School is scheduled to move to the swing space at the end of the current school year. For more information, please refer to the Principal's Message page for a letter from Mrs. Kelley and Ms. M. A summary of the details follows:

- Swing space is located at 160 Iranistan Avenue
- To help teachers prepare for the move, half days will be held on June 11th, June 12th, and June 13th (12:40 P.M. dismissal time)  
- Kindergarten promotion ceremony is scheduled for June 15th (Friday)
- Eighth grade promotion ceremony is scheduled for June 15th (Friday)
- June 18th and 19th are half days (1:20 P.M. dismissal time)
- June 19th is the last day of school
- Please plan accordingly for the supervision of your child on half days
