Welcome to the Cesar A. Batalla School website! We are very pleased to welcome you to a beautiful state of the art building.

For the 2012-2013 school year it is mandatory that all students in our elementary schools, Pre-K through Eighth grade, must wear the school colored uniform. Cesar Batalla school colors are as follows:

· Pants: Navy Blue or Khaki (NO JEANS).  All pants must be worn with a belt

· Shirts: White, Yellow or Navy Blue Skirts: Navy Blue (NO JEANS) or Khaki

· Blouses: White, Yellow or Navy Blue.

· Shoes are strongly recommended and white or black sneakers are permitted. Laces on shoes or sneakers MUST be tied.

We will continue to have breakfast served in every classroom at 8:40am. Students are to line up at their designated area by 8:30am. We will also continue to pilot a fresh fruit and vegetable snack program in every classroom. The fresh fruit and vegetable will be delivered to each classroom mid-morning and our students will have a healthy snack every day.

We are also a PBS( Positive Behavior Support) school where we expect students to "Be Responsible, Be Respectful,  Be Safe and Be Proud".

Once again, I want to remind you that vacations should be scheduled around our school calendar. Also, make every effort to schedule doctor's appointments after school. As a reminder, try to avoid early dismissals whenever possible. However, if you do need to pick up your student early, please send a note to the teacher and the teacher will dismiss them to the main office. Dismissal of students to buses begins at 2:53pm and by 3:00pm ALL students are out of their classrooms and exiting the building.
