Have a Happy, Safe and Blessed Thanksgiving!
As the weather gets colder, so does the temperature here in school. Parents and Guardians, please make sure your child has a navy, tan, white or burgandy non-hoodie/non-logo sweater to wear in school.
It was great meeting with parents during Report Card Conferences. Any parents that were not able to make it, can send a note with their child in order to make an appointment.
Parents/Guardians: Did you know that if you set up an account on the PowerSchool page you can have your child's grades emailed to you EVERY MONDAY. Many parents are very pleased with this efficient way of knowing how their child is doing in school. Log onto PowerSchool via www.bridgeportedu.com today!
*2nd M.P. Literacy Book Report Project
Students are in the process of reading a novel of their choosing and by following a detailed rubric are writing an outline and 3-5 page report. (SEE ATTACHED BOOK REPORT RUBRICS)
Gr. 7 - 200 page novel minimum
Gr. 8 - 250 page novel minimum
Students: Please go to my "DOCUMENT MANAGER" page to download a sample book report template. It would be wise to show me your work in progress well before the Due Dates (Outline: 12/6 and Book Report: 12/18).
Please keep in mind...
*The nights that I do not assign homework, students should be reading a book of their choice. Once the book is finished, students complete a story frame and turn in to me for credit on their Independent Reading Project. Story frames are located on my Document Manager page. Completed story frames will be credited to the 4th M.P. Independent Reading project. (Read 16 genres by the last Friday in May, 2014)
5. Feel free to email me with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
