Thank you to the parents and guardians who came out last week during report card conference week!  To the parents who couldn't make it, please know that it's not too late.  We can meet any day of the school week from 1:45 to 2:45.  Please send in a note with your child to confirm a date and time.

Literacy - The 7th and 8th graders have officially chosen novels for their 2nd Marking Period Book Report Project.  The Outline portion of the project is due Wednesday, January 6th and the final Book Report (Cover Page, revised Outline, and 3-5 page book report) is due on Friday, January 16th.

Written Expression - The students continue to work on Grammar, Persuasive, Narrative, and Creative Writing.  They are perfecting their writing through vocabulary and detailed sentence structure.

Independent Reading Project - Remember on the nights where homework is not assigned, students should be working on completing Story Frames.  16 genres must be read by May 8th.  This project will count as the 4th Marking Period Literacy project.

Word of the Day - Students must read and re-read their Words every night in order to prepare for a test after the 20th word.

Students, if you need any story frames click on the Document Manager link on the left menu list.  Also feel free to check out the Useful Links to find great books.
