Grade 3 Spanish Language Classes

Mrs. Conroy's Room 210

Dear Parents,

Students will be using several texts, focusing on oral language development. I will be covering many topics throughout the year which will include:Family, Weather, and Homes, etc. I will be supplementing our curriculum with hands-on materials.

This year your child has Spanish class four times per week.  Each week your child will have homework and a quiz or project.

Students will recieve grades by averaging their homework, quizes and projects.  Parents may access grades on Power School daily.

These are the classroom rules I have discussed with your children, please review them and stress the importance of being a person of good character with your child.

Classroom Rules taken from Responsive Classroom

  1. Cooperation, will work with others
  2. Assertion, will ask for help
  3. Responsibility, will take care of school equipment and complete assignments
  4. Empathy, will worry about other people's feelings
  5. Self-Control, will keep body to yourself

If a student chooses to break our classroom rules these are the consequences:

First Time : 1. Student will be spoken to and behavior will be discussed. Check mark goes next to their name in roll book.

Second Time : 2. Student will be asked to sit in a separate table to think about his/her behavior.

***Severe disruption such as fighting, use of inappropriate language or damage to classroom equipment will result in immediate referral to office and a call to parent. ***

I look forward to working with your child. Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me here at school, 576-7505 or via email - Thanking you in advance for your support and cooperation throughout the year.

Thank you for your support.

Mrs. Maria Conroy
